The “Stuart Houghton” brand has been purchased by Manuscript Pen Company Ltd with effect from 27th August 2004. Manuscript is a specialist manufacturer of Calligraphy and other Writing Instrument products and has been both a supplier to and customer of Stuart Houghton Ltd for many years.

Manuscript is integrating the operation of the Stuart Houghton brand into its own factory and offices at Highley Shropshire. The Ledbury office has closed.

Manuscript is making every effort to provide continuity of supply but apologises to customers for any delay or inconvenience caused during the transitional period.

It is Manuscript’s intention to maintain and develop further the high quality range of gifts offered formerly by Stuart Houghton Ltd. Manuscript’s strength in the Art & Craft and Stationery markets will add to growth opportunities both in the UK and abroad.

Plans are already in hand to exhibit the range at Frankfurt in January 2005 and at the NEC in February 2005.
